Pupa Milano New Summer Releases

I always get excited whenever Pupa Milano release new products and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a couple of items from their latest releases which of course I shall be sharing with you in this post.

First off, the Extreme Bronze Moisturizing Tanning Foundation SPF20 in the shade 001. I was instantly curious about this foundation and was looking forward to see if the texture matches my beloved Pupa Milano Professionals BB Cream + Primer. And yes, it didn't disappoint! The texture is lightweight which is just what you need for summer! Moreover it is resistant to water, sweat and humidity, making it the ideal product for the Maltese summer. It also has SPF20 so you know your skin has some protection against harmful UV rays. Coverage is light and it just gives my skin the perfect sun-kissed glow.

Another product which has fast made its way to my current favourites, is the I'M Matt Lip Fluid in shade 097 Light Plum. Pupa are expanding their range of this highly popular product with 8 new shades. I'm a huge fan of the formula of these lip fluids and their pigmentation is to die for! With just one swipe, you get complete coverage with a nice velvety matt finish. I particularly like this shade as it complements my skin tone and it practically goes with anything! Price is €12.85. The Pupa lip products range now also comprises 10 new shades of I'M Pure Lip Colour which retail for €12.85 each.

Lastly, Pupa have introduced the Vamp! Eyeshadow palettes. I have the 003 Absolute Nude which is an absolute favourite as it has the four colours I reach for the most. They are all shimmery shades are perfect to create an understated neutral look. Locally, there are two palettes available as part of a Special Edition Kit which comprises a palette and 3 Easy Liner Eye Pencils for €21. Oh and you could also try your luck at winning four Vamp! palettes in the giveaway that is currently going on on the blog's Facebook page!

I have the tester version of the palette (centre) but you can see what the palette actually looks like in the other two photos.

Dress Code: Elegant

Today I am posting a couple of throwback pictures from our trip to Trapani last April, specifially from one of my favourite nights - going out to dinner to Osteria I Vitelloni which serves delectable meat and fish dishes. For the occasion, all four of us girls chose to go all out and wear a gorgeous dress each from London F Cafe' in Baystreet.

We opted for a sleek hairstyle to let the dresses shine through and each one of us paired her dress with a gorgeous bag and shoes. Of course I wore my favourite pair of heels - the Gianvito Rossi Plexi pumps and the bag is one I bought quite a few years back from Peacocks. The dress on the other hand is from Lipsy London and I felt like a million dollars in it! I admit it's a bit out of my comfort zone and it's not something I am usually seen in but I really loved wearing it and just having fun with amazing company :) Here is what all of us girls wore on the night :)

New Prescription Glasses from

I have been wearing prescription glasses for almost 10 years now and believe it or not, I love wearing them! The problem arises when I have to choose a new pair. I have such a small face that most frames look really big on me or don't suit me at all. This often comes with a price as I have to shop for glasses locally as opposed to buying eye glasses online with cheaper prices.

I love my Dolce & Gabbana ones to bits but sometimes I don't feel like wearing a pair that costs over €300 to the beach for example. is the answer to all of us who sometimes just need a cheaper yet still stylish and durable pair of glasses. Thus, when the company reached out to me once again to choose a pair from their extensive range of prescription glasses, I gladly accepted. I was so impressed with the quality of the eyeglasses I chose for my first collaboration with them that I immediately agreed to this collaboration and chose a rather simple pair of glasses - a black cat-eye pair which only costs $29.95.

I received the package within three weeks. The prescription sunglasses came in a sleek protective case and a lens cleaning cloth. Upon trying them on, I was happy to see that the lenses carry the correct prescription so I can vouch there is no risk in ordering your glasses from GlassesShop for fear of mistakes. From the dimensions provided on the website, I figured the glasses would suit my face but unfortunately they are a little big :( However, if I wear them with my hair down, they sort of balance the whole look out and I can pull them off! :D

The glasses are very sturdy and don't feel like they are going to break any minute. I feel they are very comfortable and their chic, simple design really appeals to me.

I would resort to wearing these glasses to the beach like I said and even around the house. I highly recommend you check out GlassesShop and have a look at all their offerings including some spectacular sunglasses. What's more? Quote code GSHOT50 at checkout for 50% the total price!

Making Waves at the Pink Fashion Show

The Pink Fashion Show, organized by Pink Magazine and the Times of Malta, is the fashion show I look forward to the most from the local fashion events' calendar. The reason? There are multiple but mostly because the organizers always manage to hold the event at unique locations and each show is perfectly executed, even down the littlest of details!

This year's summer edition of the show, which took place last Thursday evening was no exception. The setting was the newly re-furbished Ray's Lido in Little Armier Bay - a picturesque sandy beach in the north part of the island. Although it is quite a long drive from home, I always enjoy a car ride to this part of the island for most of it is still untouched; green areas and sandy beaches are still the order of the day here and thus I was very looking forward to arrive at the destination and see what the team behind this huge event had in store for us.

Guests were all dressed in comfortable, colourful, summer clothes which clearly matched the mood and I really enjoyed meeting up with fellow bloggers as well as brand managers I get to collaborate with from time to time thanks to this blog :)

Now for the collections presented during the show. It all started with models coming down from a yacht onto jet-skis and making their way to the beach to initiate the show with swimming costumes from Goldenpoint and sunglasses by O'hea Opticians. I have picked out a few favourite pieces of course and when going through the brand's catalogue the following morning, I discovered this pretty bikini named Lara - shall I get it? ;)

Next came some very stylish dresses from Joseph Ribkoff and complementing Furla bags. I loved most of the pieces from both brands and I do really appreciate the fun take on classic bags with prints from Furla.

Ipanema flipflops followed - I have been eyeing these flip flops for a long time and it's always difficult to choose which to get because all of them look so stylish! I always hesitated to get one of them because I somehow thought they will only last one summer but when people were saying how good and comfortable they actually are, I think I might cave and get me a pair or two ;)

Next is one of my favourite collections from the show - Stefania's. I have never set foot in the store before and well, quite frankly, I was missing out. Big time. A vast majority of the clothes showcased had my name written all over them. Here are my favourites:

Moving on to Carla Grima, it was time for some luxurious silk kaftans, clothes and swimwear to parade down the catwalk, paired with eyewear from Optika Opticians. This summer's choices are infinite - from statement shades to a more paired down look, there's something for everyone's tastes.

My favourite bags were the ones from Coccinelle. From bright candy colours to neutrals and monochrome, here are my top picks from this season's collection:

Another brand I like is Orsay. I especially like their work wear and I love how their clothes look more expensive than they actually are.

The brands closing the show were both a case of leaving the best for last. Here are my favourite picks from DOR Boutique's collection which presented a lot of flowy, summer garments with embellishments and colourful pom-pom details on the bags.

Lastly, Rebelli, a name synonymous with luxury brands such as Versace Jeans and Michael Kors. Swimwear, elegant and casual looks were presented on the night and this was hands down my favourite collection of all.

Following the shows, we were invited to a reception on the stand where we could even have a look at some of the offerings from other participating brands. One stand which caught my eyes was the Sunlab stand where they launched the Ted Baker range of jewellery and sunglasses but more on that in another post ;)

I also had a chance to taste the new Magnum Double Coconut, which let me tell you, it's the bomb!

As usual, I had a great time at the Pink Fashion Show, big well done to all the organizers and people behind the show for always managing to put on the perfect show!
